Our Sunday evening service is a time for the body to gather, share requests and praises, and pray for one another. It is a very informal service which we began in order to address the multiple “one another” commands in Scripture. As we read the Scriptures, we kept seeing commands to rejoice with one another, encourage and exhort one another, bear one another’s burdens, etc. We ultimately realized that our Sunday morning service did not really offer an opportunity to do these things. Therefore, we began an evening service which is aimed at obeying these commands. We gather at 6:00 PM in a large, tiered room where we can face one another, and for the next hour and a half, we share our struggles, our joys, how others can pray for us, etc. Then, we take some time to pray for one another. We typically tell people who are looking to join the church that our Sunday night service is the service in which you really get to see the heart of the people who make up CCC.
